The retailer is joining the Cedar Breaks West area as Georgetown continues to attract more large-format shopping options.

A new Marshalls store is opening in Georgetown on April 2, adding another national retailer to the city’s growing Williams Drive commercial corridor. Community Impact reported the new store is located at 4610 Williams Drive in Cedar Breaks West.

Marshalls’ official store page confirms the opening date and lists special opening-day hours from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. The company says regular hours after opening will be Monday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., with the store closed Sundays.

According to Community Impact, the Georgetown location spans a little more than 24,000 square feet and is expected to bring about 60 jobs, including part-time and full-time positions. The report also noted that a HomeGoods buildout is underway in the same retail center.

For Georgetown shoppers, the arrival of Marshalls is the latest sign that the city’s retail footprint is continuing to deepen rather than simply sending residents south for more options. For the city, it also means more traffic and more commercial gravity gathering along one of Georgetown’s busiest west side corridors.

That pattern has become more familiar in the past few years. As Georgetown grows, so does demand for the kinds of retailers that once might have skipped the city entirely or chosen only Round Rock and Cedar Park. Williams Drive is becoming one of the clearer examples of that shift.

A store opening is not the biggest story in town, but it is one of the clearest signals of where Georgetown’s consumer economy is headed. More retailers are seeing a city that can support them, and they are moving in accordingly.
